** If you have an analog (VHS) camcorder ...
You need an analog converter, an internal or external card such as glare. It is very easy to use and have a good software. You connect your camera or VCR VHS analog converter, the dazzle and glare can also connect to your PC. The cost of about 85.00 to dazzle, but worth the money if you have many VHS tapes to convert.
** Note: Please note there is no 8mm or Hi 8 VHS Adapter that currently exsist. This type of VHS Adapter only exsist with VHS-C
While you can do it yourself, I recommend a professional band conversion to get the best quality. StashSpace.com is good, and Hi8 tapes transferred to digital files $ 7 per tape (or free) with the further promotion and a premium account. Check http://www.stashspace.com. You can use their online software to view, edit, share or receive files to a portable player, nine or DVD drive.
All you have yourself a digital-analog converter. Dazzle sold. Then, with the camera / player Hi-8 video playback on the camera and video capture hardware that converts the digital signal is issued and received by an application to capture video. Good luck!
You need to have something to Dazzle then convert a converter you get a connection to trigger your Hi8 camera and connect to your PC and recording.
Dazzle is not simply a search for analog-digital converter
Good luck

You can use a analog to digital and software such as Corel / Ulead VideoStudio, or ....
Just get a standalone DVD recorder, hook the camera up to scratch, and burn a DVD.
